Sean Murphy

Sean is Co-Head of US and a Partner at 65 Equity Partners, based in New York.

Sean has over two decades of investment experience in private equity and structured equity. Most recently, he served as a Partner and Co-Head of the Harvest Partners Structured Capital Fund, a strategy that focuses on making non-control investments in private equity and founder owned businesses.  While at Harvest Partners, Sean led transactions in the consumer, business and industrial services and healthcare sectors and was a member of the Investment and Operating Committees for the Structured Capital Fund. Throughout his investing career, Sean has served as a Board member or observer on over twenty companies. 

Earlier in his career, Sean was a Managing Director with Angelo, Gordon & Co., where he spent approximately ten years focused on private equity investments across the consumer / retail, business services and financial services industries. Prior to that, he was with Bear Growth Capital Partners, an affiliate of Bear Stearns Merchant Banking.

Sean holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.

Su Sheng

Sheng is a Principal at 65 Equity Partners, focused on value creation for portfolio companies.

Sheng joined 65 Equity Partners from DBS Private Bank, where he provided strategic advisory to UHNW clients and family offices. Prior to DBS, Sheng was the Finance Director for Raffles Medical Group (China) and oversaw its finance, financial planning and analysis and M&A functions. Before RMG, Sheng spent over a decade with Partners Group, a global private market investment firm, where he specialised in managing industrial and consumer portfolio companies in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Sheng started his career as an investment and consulting professional at Changi Airports International.   

A CFA charterholder, Sheng holds a Master’s degree from London Business School and a Bachelor’s from Nanyang Business School.

Phil Wiese

Phil is an Investment Principal at 65 Equity Partners, based in London.

He joined 65 Equity Partners from Trilantic Europe, where he spent the last decade focussing on German and Pan-European mid-market private equity deals, supporting entrepreneurs and management teams in realising their growth ambitions including supporting international expansion and execution of buy-and-build strategies.

Phil started his career in investment banking with BofA Merrill Lynch in the global industrial team based in London.


Phil holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim. He is fluent in both English and German

Charles Goulet

Charles is a Managing Director at 65 Equity Partners, where he focuses on investment opportunities in France.

He joined 65 Equity Partners from Wendel, where he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Strategy in Europe. With over 17 years of experience in private equity, Charles has worked in both Paris and London. His investment experience covers Europe, the US and Asia, with a focus on Pan-European regions (France, Spain and Benelux) and Business Services and Industrial sectors.


Charles began his private equity journey with Ardian, working in the Private Debt and Funds of Funds teams. 


Charles holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School (France) and a Degree in Law from University of Cergy (France). He speaks French, English and Spanish.
