David Araoz

David Araoz is a Legal Counsel at 65 Equity Partners, based in New York.


He joined 65 Equity Partners from Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where his practice included advising private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and other private and public companies on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, carve-out transactions, corporate restructurings and other general corporate matters across a variety of industries.


David holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, summa cum laude, from Fordham University. David is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Cooper Sande

Cooper Sande is an Associate at 65 Equity Partners, based in New York.

He joined 65 Equity Partners from Gainline Capital Partners where he focused on family- and founder-owned transactions across the manufacturing, business services, and consumer sectors. Cooper started his career as an Analyst in the Healthcare Group at Piper Sandler working with outsourced medical manufacturing companies.

Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Ethan Chase

Ethan is an Associate at 65 Equity Partners, based in New York.

He joined 65 Equity Partners from AEA Investors where he focused on private equity transactions across the consumer, industrial and services sectors. Prior to AEA Investors, Ethan was an Investment Banking Analyst within BlackArch Partners.

Ethan holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with a concentration in Finance from the University of Virginia.

Sean Murphy

Sean is Co-Head of US and a Partner at 65 Equity Partners, based in New York.

Sean has over two decades of investment experience in private equity and structured equity. Most recently, he served as a Partner and Co-Head of the Harvest Partners Structured Capital Fund, a strategy that focuses on making non-control investments in private equity and founder owned businesses.  While at Harvest Partners, Sean led transactions in the consumer, business and industrial services and healthcare sectors and was a member of the Investment and Operating Committees for the Structured Capital Fund. Throughout his investing career, Sean has served as a Board member or observer on over twenty companies. 

Earlier in his career, Sean was a Managing Director with Angelo, Gordon & Co., where he spent approximately ten years focused on private equity investments across the consumer / retail, business services and financial services industries. Prior to that, he was with Bear Growth Capital Partners, an affiliate of Bear Stearns Merchant Banking.

Sean holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
